It seems Big E’s road to WrestleMania has hit a speed bump, as the wrestler suffered a legitimate neck injury on this week’s WWE SmackDown. He broke his neck off a release German suplex where he did not achieve enough rotation. Now fans and peers are showing an outpouring of support.
Big E landed his entire bodyweight on his head after Ridge Holland performed bely-to-belly German Suplex on him outside the ring. At the time WWE personnel checked on him and it was soon confirmed that Big E’s neck is broken.
Neck injuries are always very concerning for wrestler’s career and most of the times they cause talents to retire early. As Big E goes into surgery, we wish him fast recovery and hopefully this doesn’t put a full stop to his run in wrestling.
The news of injury has got fans talking on Twitter and several WWE stars are already sending their best wishes for Big E to heal quickly. Amanda Huber wrote, “I feel sick to my stomach.” addressing Big E’s situation.
Sending his best wishes to Big E, AEW’s Taz wrote, “I’ve said it many times over the years, suplexing is ALL about proper technique & training, not strength. [praying hands emoji] Big E.”
