Drew McIntyre is one of the top Superstars in WWE, and he certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. It seems he responded to the negative reception after his WrestleMania 38 match was announced.

The Scottish Warrior was said to be rehabbing as hard as John Cena in order to make his return before WrestleMania 38 after suffering neck injuries. Despite this, he made his return at the Royal Rumble on January 29th to the shock of fans everywhere around the world.

Since then he has competed against Madcap Moss in a singles match at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 19th. It was recently confirmed that Drew McIntyre will square off against Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38.

Unsurprisingly, fans were outraged about the match as they felt Drew McIntyre deserves better than someone like Happy Corbin. The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter and responded to the fan backlash with a video, as McIntyre stated that his time will come.

“Here we are, Dallas, Texas. Hot, hot, hot. Dallas, TX, is hot. I shouldn’t’ve wore this outfit, but it’s not just hot because the weather all year around here, it’s hot because we’re about 30 days out from WrestleMania. The temperature is jacking up, and to jack it up even more, what did we just find out? Oh, WrestleMania Saturday, it’s just McIntyre vs. Corbin, that’s right.

I just read about it on the internet like everybody else, about 10 minutes ago, but that’s OK, that’s the match I wanted. I thought I was going to have to, you know, jump through some hoops, play some games, cut some deals under the table, pass some money to some people, but the match is official. That means Corbin is going to be worrying about this match from now until ‘Mania.”

We will have to wait and see what the company will have planned for Drew McIntyre after his match against Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38 is done with as fans simply want better for him.
