Cody Rhodes was one of the mainstays of AEW television and was one of the biggest influences backstage in the company as well. Rhodes has certainly contributed a lot towards the development of AEW since its inception back in 2019. It seems Kyle O’Reilly commented on Cody Rhodes’ AEW departure as well.

Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi departed from AEW earlier this month and even now, fans and pro wrestlers alike continue to discuss their departure and what they will do next.

While speaking on The Zaslow Show, Kyle O’Reilly talked about Cody Rhodes’ contributions in AEW. O’Reilly stated that he believes Cody Rhodes did AEW a great service.

“Yeah, I know Cody, somewhat decently. He came into Ring of Honor [during] maybe my last year or two there and I’d worked with him once or twice on the independents before leaving for NXT. He’s just a great dude. A good mind for the business, tremendous worker, and I think he did, you know, AEW a great service by being here for its inception and helping them grow. Whatever he is doing I wish him the best of luck and I know that he’ll land on his feet no matter what happens.

We will have to wait and see whether Cody Rhodes will end up in WWE or not as all signs point towards him debuting in the company at WrestleMania 38 or right after that.
