Eric Bischoff is a veteran in the pro wrestling business and is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds to have ever worked in it. He is well aware of the changing landscape of pro wrestling as well. It seems he gave some advice to AEW as well recently.

There is no doubt that AEW has a very deep and diverse roster of talented in-ring performers from all over the world, incorporating various styles of pro wrestling. The company continues to sign more and more talents that serve their purpose.

However, with Cody Rhodes’ departure from AEW, many fans have been wondering whether the company will eventually create a megastar. While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff stated that he believes AEW needs a legitimate larger than life star if they want to consistently get better ratings.

“They’re going to need somebody that’s a legitimate larger than life star, not just physically, but larger than life to a broader audience. Or they’re going to have to accept the fact that AEW is basically a million viewers a week tops.”

It remains to be seen whether AEW will be able to create a huge mega star that transcends pro wrestling one day or not.
