Many fans would agree that Jeff Hardy is truly one of the most beloved professional wrestlers in WWE’s history. Hardy made a career out of performing death-defying stunts for the entertainment of fans and it helped him win numerous titles as well. It seems Jeff Hardy opened up about the reason for his WWE departure as well.

After WWE let go of Jeff Hardy last year, many fans had been wondering what is next in store for the Charismatic Enigma. To add to that, Jeff Hardy even turned down rehab prior to his firing. Jeff Hardy also rejected an offer to get inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame few weeks ago as he wanted a Hall Of Fame induction for The Hardy Boyz.

Hardy was sent home after his final match in WWE due to ”erratic behavior.” While speaking with YouTuber Jared Myers, Jeff Hardy revealed the last straw that made him want to leave WWE. It was ultimately WWE wanting Hardy to go to rehab.

They released me and tried to make me go to rehab but I’m just so over it. My dream match was with Roman Reigns, I’ve talked about that many times but then I said, ‘so you want me to go away for like 28 days just to save my job?’ No.

You know what’s important to me? Family. My two daughters, my wife, they believe in me. F*ck WWE man. It’s like a private, personal thing. I’m not going to f*cking go to rehab. If they believe in me, that’s all that matters, my wife and my two girls.”

Jeff Hardy already confirmed that he will be making his way to AEW next month. We will have to wait and see how the Charismatic Enigma will fare in AEW as well.
