John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company to the best of his abilities for over a decade. He was the face of the company and Cena worked very hard to maintain his top position as well. It seems JBL refused to take an Attitude Adjustment for a good reason.

On the other hand, JBL is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, having started his journey during the Attitude Era in the late 90s. Brawshaw had a storied career, winning multiple championships along the way. He also has quite few interesting stories to tell.

While speaking on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, JBL revealed that he refused to take an Attitude Adjustment from John Cena at the same time as his on-screen ally Orlando Jordan. This is because JBL feared he would have suffered an injury.

“I hated this because when I was wrestling Cena in 2008 or 2009 he wanted to put me and Orlando on his shoulders and do an AA to both of us. I had been hurt so many times, seriously my back was in bad shape, I thought I couldn’t take the move. I thought, ‘If I take that move, I won’t be able to get up.’ I told John, ‘I’m sorry, I’ll do anything else but I can’t do it.’

JBL truly helped put John Cena over in a huge way in their title matches and Cena will forever be grateful to JBL for all he has done for him in the end.
