Tony Khan Found It Challenging To Book Adam Page’s AEW World Title Win

Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He was also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega. It seems Tony Khan opened up about booking Adam Page’s AEW World Title win.

In a culmination of a multi-year-long storyline, Adam Page finally defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship – a promise he had made years prior. His organic growth has certainly helped him become a lovable babyface as well.

While speaking with Inside the Ropes, AEW President Tony Khan talked about booking Adam Page to become the AEW World Champion. Khan stated that it was a challenge to book Page to become the champion.

“It was good. It’s a challenge, and it was a risk in some ways. But in other ways, it was absolutely the right thing to do. When he said he wanted to take time off to be with Amanda through the pregnancy and when they started their family together, I was all for it and very supportive. We just had to sit down and make a plan for it, and it was a big challenge, but we were able to get through it.”

Adam Page is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Adam Cole at AEW Revolution on March 6th. It remains to be seen how their feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
