Jim Ross is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, as he made a name for himself as a commentator in WWE. He has delivered some of the most iconic moments in the history of pro wrestling. It seems Jim Ross is loving his time working in AEW as well.

Ross worked in WWE for several years, which is why he knows the inner workings of the company. He has extensively worked with Vince McMahon and it has not always worked out in his favor as he has been the subject of ridicule numerous times.

Jim Ross is currently working in AEW and is also aware of how different things are there compared to WWE. While speaking on the Grilling JR Podcast, Jim Ross talked about working as part of the commentary team in AEW. Ross stated that he feels Attitude Era moments while on commentary.

“Live TV is so much fun. I’m having a blast doing these shows because of the roster that Tony Khan has put together, it’s pretty damn extraordinary. I’m having as much fun calling these matches as I did… there are Attitude Era moments where I feel totally engulfed in the show.

I’m in another place and doing something I really, truly love. I had a big void after the Attitude Era, many years where I never got that feeling, it was gone but I still put my time in. But now with AEW and the talent we have, there are so many young guys and the fans don’t know how much time I put in with these talents off-camera. So when I see somebody have a really good match, and it may have the small sprinkling of sauce from me as far as psychology.”

Jim Ross is certainly more than happy to be working under Tony Khan in AEW, as it is likely he will be ending his career with the company. Regardless, he will always be grateful for his time in WWE as well.
