Bobby Lashley’s time in the Elimination Chamber was short-lived. The company wrote a concussion protocol angle to take him out of the match, but that was all work. It turns out that he is injured, but it has nothing to do with his head.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that WWE knew about Lashley’s injury for weeks. He was hurt in that Royal Rumble match against Brock Lesnar and hasn’t competed since the St. Louis event. Now he is out for a few months and will miss WrestleMania.

It’s almost, for sure, from that Lesnar match, so they’ve known for a few weeks that he’s not in this Chamber match.

We’re hoping that Bobby Lashley can make it back to 100% health soon. At least he got a sick entrance as WWE Champion in Saudi Arabia, complete with fireworks. He was in a big spot in WWE, but that time ended too soon, especially his most recent title run.
