John Cena made his return at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view in July of last year and set his sights on Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship. Cena was unable to defeat Reigns for the title at WWE SummerSlam, but he did introduce an interesting T-shirt. It seems The Rock helped out Cena in a huge way as well.

The Peacemaker actor has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer and that includes The Rock. He also has a lot of respect for The Rock as he followed in his footsteps to become a huge draw in Hollywood.

John Cena previously revealed that he can relate to The Rock in many ways, especially when it comes to juggling multiple projects at once. While speaking with GQ, John Cena revealed that The Rock calmed him down before Cena’s audition for the 2014 movie Trainwreck.

“The audition process is scary for me, like it is for most people. It is a business of failure. You’ve gotta be used to getting told you’re not the right fit, and I really wanted this one. And, deadpan, Dwayne was just like, ‘Just be yourself, man. They called you in for a reason. Just be who you are.’ And I was.”

The Rock was last seen for the 20th Anniversary of Friday Night SmackDown back in 2019. We will have to wait and see when The Great will be making his return to the company.
