The team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins established themselves as one of the top teams in all of WWE. The Street Profits gained a fandom thanks to their great in-ring skills. It seems Ford is grateful for his match against Roman Reigns.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns has been dominant as the WWE Universal Champion, having held the title for well over 500 days and even broke Brock Lesnar’s record.

Montez Ford squared off against The Tribal Chief on the September 24th episode of Friday Night SmackDown last year. It featured a lot of back and forth action, with Roman Reigns coming out on top.

While speaking on the Out of Character podcast, Montez Ford talked about his match against Roman Reigns. Ford made it clear that he felt the match was a blessing for him.

“Honestly I was quite motivated and inspired by that matchup. I go back time and time again and just look at the things I feel like I could do better, what I could sharpen up on. Just to be on that same stage and level as him is a blessing itself, but also wanting to not only succeed when and if the title is on the line, but just to do much better.”

We will have to wait and see whether the company will give Montez Ford a proper singles run of his own as Ford has proven himself to be a skillfully competitor.
