Tenille Dashwood made a name for herself in WWE, where she was known as Emma in NXT. She would eventually be called up to the main roster but never had a memorable run. This included her transformation as Emmalina, which was dead on arrival.

Dashwood had a decent run in NXT where she was one of the top female competitors there. She was eventually released by WWE back in 2017 and it seems she saw it coming.

While speaking with Graham Matthews of Daily DDT, Tenille Dashwood revealed that she knew she was getting released by WWE, so Dashwood took the necessary steps to ensure she would be fine.

“There are different mindsets, aren’t there? Some people can leave WWE and it’s hard for them to find their footing. For me, I guess in ways I had already prepared myself for that day because I knew inevitably I wouldn’t work for WWE eventually, and when that time comes, am I going to pick up everything I have and move back home to Australia and start again? No, that is definitely not what I want. So I did what I could to get ready by starting a business on the side and investing in things like setting up my travel and lifestyle so I could continue all the things that I loved and enjoyed.”
