Shane McMahon is not performing on RAW, Elimination Chamber, or WrestleMania. He behavior backstage while setting up the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble event caused Vince McMahon to send his son home. Now we are finding a bit more about his ideas.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, Shane McMahon was “let go” and sent home. He was never actually employed by WWE, but his dad made him leave and nixed creative plans after he had a terrible power trip while producing the 2022 Royal Rumble match.

We previously reported that he tried to put himself over and buried producers. Fightful Select now reports that Shane was vying for the #1 spot.

Several sources have indicated that Shane McMahon specifically wanted to go on in a spot that would highlight him, with one even mentioning that he pitched the number one spot. However, we’re told that Vince McMahon personally came along and said that he’d be making changes to the match and wouldn’t be doing much of what Shane laid out.

We’ll have to see if Shane McMahon comes back to WWE, but this run did not work out too well. Vince McMahon is still the chief decider and, thankfully, he stopped Shane-O Mac from having too much of a creative say. That didn’t stop him from pissing everyone off.
