Shane McMahon has received a ton of heat for the way he handled the booking of last weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble. Ringside News exclusively reported that McMahon was the talk of the company after he booked himself as one of the strongest competitors in the match. Creative plans were changed on the fly. As Ringside News exclusively reported, that ultimately lead to WWE quietly letting Shane go.

There were plenty of other reasons for the backstage heat. Shane McMahon has been reported to have changed Bad Bunny’s booking several times throughout the day. WWE was not thrilled with the moves, as they believed Bad Bunny might find the booking offensive.

Andrew Zarian tweeted that a source who said that Bad Bunny’s number constantly changing was a major issue behind the scenes. Bad Bunny’s number changed various times. WWE is not happy to be placed in a negative light with a mainstream star.

“Few notes from source regarding Shane and the Rumble.

This was a cause for concern and people within WWE were upset.

WWE doesn’t want to come off negatively with such a major outside star.”
