Big E truly had a long and difficult road to the top of WWE. After a solid run on NXT, he was called up to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems Booker T made an interesting comparison regarding Big E’s latest match.

At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Big E defended his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. In the end, Brock Lesnar defeated Big E to become the new WWE Champion.

Fans were naturally disappointed at Big E losing the WWE Championship as many felt his reign as the champion was underbaked.

On the other hand, WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T is a well-known veteran in the pro wrestling world as he made a name for himself in WCW before making his way to WWE. One of the most controversial aspects of his career in WWE featured his WrestleMania XIX storyline with Triple H.

Many called out the storyline for having racist undertones and it seems the storyline was completely removed from WWE and A&E’s Biography series featuring Booker T. While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T compared Big E’s loss to his own against Triple H at WrestleMania XIX when it comes to how fans perceived their losses.

“I remember when I lost to Triple H. People really felt a certain way the next morning because the story was, I should have won. Big E was in a position where a lot of people feel like, ‘man he should have won.’ But there again, he has the chance to come back and redeem himself. Seriously, people still feel a certain way about it.”

There was also proof that Big E was supposed to win the match at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. Big E also wasn’t able to qualify for the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Big E.
