The Matrix Resurrections is set 60 years after the events of the original Matrix trilogy. It sees Keanu Reeves’ Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss’ Trinity return after their deaths at the end of The Matrix Revolutions in 2003. Not only does the fourth film’s ending offer possibility for the storyline to continue, but the six-decade story gap between it and Resurrections also provides room for prequels.

Lana Wachowski has been confirmed as returning by the studio’s CEO Ann Sarnoff. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Ann Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jonathan Groff star in The Matrix Resurrections.

Corey Graves recently watched The Matrix: Resurrections and has offered his thoughts on the film. Despite knowing that his tweet would almost surely result in him being mocked for the rest of the day on Twitter, he went on to state that he appreciated the movie.

“I understand that this statement will likely result in me being vilified for another day on Twitter, but it has to be said. I didn’t think the new Matrix movie was that bad.”
