AJ Styles has been touted as one of the best pro wrestlers by both fans and wrestlers alike. Styles continues to work at a high level despite growing older and continues to amaze fans. It seems his current storyline was criticized as well.

Since his appearance in the 2016 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles has cemented himself as one of the best in-ring workers in all of WWE. He has had great matches with several big names in the company.

It has not been a good time for AJ Styles as Omos turned on him on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW as well, effectively breaking up their tag team. Many fans felt this breakup was very abrupt and nonsensical.

While speaking on Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo talked about AJ Styles’ current feud with Omos. He heavily criticized AJ Styles’ booking for not meaning anything at all.

“I hate to say this, jst the way they are doing these things, there is not enough of a build or anythiung for that matter. There just isn’t enough of a story; there is not enough involvement to make anybody care. It needs to mean something. This is not AJ’s fault and neither is it Omos’ fault. But I have to ask you. What have they done in this relationship to make me care about this breakup? There is no emotional attachment for me whatsoever. Okay, so we do this and next week’s the match. What?”

AJ Styles and Omos are set to square off against each other on Monday Night RAW next week in a singles match. WWE likely has huge plans for both of them, which led to their breakup. It remains to be seen how they will be booked in the coming months.
