Tonight’s SmackDown will feature the return of Brock Lesnar after being suspended by Adam Pearce. Lesnar returns to continue his Universal Championship feud with Roman Reigns.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown begins with Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring in his return appearance. Lesnar gets on the mic bringing up his suspension when Lesnar is interrupted by Sami Zayn coming to the ring. Zayn says there are a lot of similarities in their career paths and they have a lot in common. Zayn calls them both “Canadian Alpha males”.

Lesnar tells Zayn to shut up, Lesnar says he’s confused and he has no idea who Zayn is. Lesnar backs Zayn into the ropes and asks Zayn who he thinks he is. Zayn calls himself the locker room leader and mentions that he is the number one contender for the Universal Championship and once he defeats Reigns and becomes champion he will take on Lesnar in a title match. Lesnar questions why Zayn waits would wait for his title match and he says that he should take on Reigns for the title tonight. Zayn declines to challenge Reigns tonight initially but Lesnar begins to twist Zayn’s arm until Zayn finally agrees to the match tonight.

*Commercial break*

Back live with Zayn talking to Sonya Deville backstage. Zayn says that he does not want to actually challenge Reigns tonight. Lesnar walks up behind Zayn and Zayn starts to panic, and Deville announces that the match between Reigns and Zayn is official.

Sasha Banks vs Shayna Baszler

Our opening mach begins with Banks slamming Baszler into the corner. Baszler goes for the Kirafuda clutch but Banks rolls out of the way. Banks avoids a stomp to the elbow and tosses Baszler out of the ring with an arm drag. Bazler locks in an ankle lock outside but Banks rolls through to send Baszler to the ring apron. Back in the ring Banks goes for a cover for two.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Banks hitting double knees in the corner. Baszler hits a gut wrench slam and covers for two. Banks catches a kick and lands a kick to the head of Baszler. Banks hits a tornado DDT off the ropes and covers for two. Baszler locks in the Kirafuda clutch but Banks rolls through to a cover that forces Baszler to break the hold. Banks transitions into a bank statement but Baszler is able to power out of the hold. Baszler goes for a powerbomb but Banks counters into a roll up for the three count.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Deville is seen talking to Adam Pearce via facetime and Deville tries to get Pearce to come to the show but Pearce shows intimidation and avoids Lesnar and says he will not be at the show.

Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss make their way out to the ring for an upcoming Happy Talk segment.

SmackDown returns with Corbin and Moss in the ring for Happy Talk. Corbin brings up the battle royal last week. Corbin says it was hilarious prank when he eliminated Moss from the match. Moss initially looks mad but breaks out in laughter with Corbin. Corbin and Moss make jokes about other competitors in the match until Drew McIntyre makes his way out to the ring. McIntyre causes a distraction to allow Jeff Hardy to sneak up from behind and hit Corbin with a Twist of Fate. McIntyre runs in the ring to hit Corbin with a Claymore and McIntyre and Hardy stand together in the ring.

The Viking Raiders vs Los Lotharios

The match begins with Erik slamming Angel to the mat and Ivar is tagged in and Erik body slams Ivar onto Angel. Humberto hits a dive to the outside and Angel hits a super kick. Angel and Humberto are distracted by Rick Boogs playing his guitar. Among the chaos Angel gets a roll up for the three count.

Winners: Los Lotharios

Jey Uso vs King Woods

The match begins with Jey Irish whipping Woods into the corner. Jey hits a neckbreaker and covers for two. Woods avoids a running splash to the corner and Woods hits a chop to the chest and follows with a big boot. Woods rolls out of the corner and hits a leaping lariat. Woods goes to the top rope but Jimmy Uso knocks him off the top rope to cause the DQ.

Winner by Disqualification: King Woods

After the bell Kofi Kingston takes out Jimmy on the outside and Woods and Kingston send both Usos running to the back as they stand tall in the ring.

Backstage Roman Reigns is talking to Paul Heyman. Reigns again asks Heyman if he knew about Lesnar and Heyman once again denies knowing anything about Lesnar. Reigns says that if Lesnar is in Zayn’s corner for the match tonight he will take out both Lesnar and Zayn.

Back live with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the ring to address the challenge from Toni Storm. Charlotte says that the only way to get noticed in the WWE women’s division i to challenge her. Charlotte says she did Toni Storm a favor last week by making people talk about her for the entire week. Charlotte says she came out to the ring tonight to say that she considered Toni’s challenge but that her answer is no. Charlotte leaves the ring and Storm sneaks up from behind to throw a pie into Charlotte’s face as Charlotte stands angry and embarrassed.

Sheamus vs Cesaro

The match begins with a lock up followed by some chain wrestling until Sheamus starts to hit elbows in the corner. Sheamus hits an Irish Curse backbreaker. Cesaro hits lariat to knock Sheamus out of the ring. Cesaro hits a running uppercut into the barricade. Back in the ring Sheamus hits a running knee and covers for two. Cesaro hits a lariat and Sheamus avoids the neutralizer and hits the Brogue kick and covers for the three count.

Winner: Sheamus

Universal Championship

Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn

Before the match Sami Zayn says that he will shock the world and that he will defeat Roman Reigns and he will leave San Antonio tonight as the new Universal Champion and when he does, he does not have anyone to thank in the crowd and the only person he has to thank is Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar’s music hits and Lesnar makes his way out to the ring. Lesnar gets in the ring and hits Zayn with a German suplex. Lesnar picks Zayn off the mat and hits Zayn with an F5 and then picks Zayn up and hits a second F5. Lesnar picks Zayn up and places him standing in the corner and Lesnar leaves the ring.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns live with Roman Reigns making his way out to the ring for the actual match as Zayn lays on the mat barely conscious. The bell rings, Reigns immediately hits a spear, puts Zayn in the guillotine submission and Zayn taps instantly.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

SmackDown goes off the air with Roman Reigns standing tall as Universal champion along with The Usos in the ring.
