AEW has a roster full of young talent hungry to show the world what they can do. Alan “5” Angels of the Dark Order recently had a big match against Bryan Danielson and that might have jumpstarted his change.

A fan pointed out that Angels no longer appears with his Dark Order mask on the official AEW roster page. He has sported a mask for quite some time as a member of the stable, still his tattoos set him apart from any other masked wrestler.

Angels saw this comment and he replied back with a simple statement that said a lot. It seems that the mask is gone for good.

Character development.

We’ll have to see what big matches are in Alan Angels’ future. He has impressive performances against Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson and more under his belt. Now he won’t be doing it under a mask.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
