WWE Gives Superstars Personal Time Off

WWE has a lot of things going on backstage in the company and some of those Superstars have been absent as of late. It turns out that Mustafa Ali and Kofi Kingston have been out of action on planned absences.

According to Fightful Select, both Mustafa Ali and Kofi Kingston have been out of action because their wives were expecting additions to their families. Mustafa Ali and his wife welcomed daughter on the 25th and Kofi celebrated the birth of his third child the next day.

For those asking about Mustafa Ali’s absence from TV the last couple of episodes, we’re told this was planned, and this week he announced the birth of his child. Fightful learned that Mustafa Ali had asked for a couple of weeks off long ago for paternity leave, and had it approved by WWE.

It was noted that both Kofi and Mustafa asked for this time off ahead of schedule and it was granted. The company had enough names involved in the battle royal on Friday’s episode of SmackDown so that leave was extended.

It was also said that Mustafa Ali was slated to be at Survivor Series. It was not noted what his role would have been. Obviously, they were able to make things work.
