Becky Lynch was absent from WWE television since May of last year but that changed after she made her shocking return at WWE SummerSlam. Her return was a controversial one after she decimated Bianca Belair to win the Smackdown Women’s title in 26 seconds. It seems Bully Ray isn’t a fan of Becky Lynch’s booking in WWE.

Lynch successfully retained the Smackdown Women’s Title at WWE Crown Jewel against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Since then Lynch made her way to Monday Night RAW and is now the RAW Women’s Champion. She has remained a heel since WWE SummerSlam and while some fans like her characters, others simply do not.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray questioned WWE’s decision to continue having Becky Lynch be portrayed as a heel. Ray stated that fans are all behind her, so there is simply no reason to hate her.

When Becky starts to cry last night, when you see them overwhelmed with emotion, if you see somebody cry you feel for them.

So, when I’m watching her get all welled up in emotion talking about herfriendship with Charlotte and how now it’s come to an end, you know that it actually, truly, genuinely bothers her. She’s crying and in that moment in time you’re like, ‘Man, I really feel bad for this girl.’

So, you want me to feel bad for her based on real emotion post-match but tonight you’re gonna write a bunch of gibberish on a piece of paper that makes me go, ‘Oh my god I hate Becky.’

No, there’s no reason to hate Becky and I don’t wanna hate Becky just because you’re hoping and praying that I love Liv Morgan.”

Becky Lynch is currently engaged in a feud with Liv Morgan as she is the #1 contender for her RAW Women’s Championship. It remains to be seen how their feud will develop in the coming weeks.
