WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg’s contributions to the pro wrestling world do not need any introduction. Goldberg truly became a household name during his time in WCW. Goldberg previously admitted that he regretted not appreciating pro wrestling in the past.

Goldberg had been engaged in a longstanding feud with Bobby Lashley over the past few months. It saw him losing to Lashley for the WWE Championship at WWE SummerSlam back in August.

At WWE Crown Jewel, Goldberg and Bobby Lashley had a very intense match. Both competitors gave it their all to win the match. Goldberg put on a stellar performance as he ultimately defeated Bobby Lashley and brought an end to their feud.

While speaking on the WWE After the Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, Sami Zayn discussed the differences between today’s era of wrestling and the Attitude Era and the 90s in general. Zayn also stated that he believes Goldberg would’ve been left in the dust had he debuted in WWE now, as opposed to making a name for himself in the 90s.

“Goldberg debuts today in NXT, is he going to be [the same] Bill Goldberg?” Zayn said. “My guess is probably not. Bill Goldberg had to fill a very specific vacuum that only existed at that exact time for him to be in the spot that he’s in. I hope I’m not taking a shot at Bill here by saying I’m pretty sure he’d be the first to acknowledge that this guy isn’t exactly known for his 5 star matches or anything, he’d steam roll through guys. If he came around at a slightly different time when work rate was far more important, he might have been left in the dust or people might not have taken a second look at him. It’s so circumstantial.”

Goldberg also recently stated that he has only one more match left in his WWE contract. We will have to wait and see when Goldberg will wrestle once again and who his opponent will be.
