Bryan Danielson’s time in AEW is just getting started, but he also wants to wrestle in many different places. While Mexico and Japan are not off the table, Tony Khan had an issue with Bryan working for, at least, one indie company.

Danielson is set to take on Miro at AEW Full Gear in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. You can click here for those updated betting odds.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Bryan Danielson can work indie promotions just like Jon Moxley. However, there was one unnamed indie company that Bryan Danielson wanted to work for that Tony Khan buy the kibosh on.

He can work indies like Jon Moxley has on his deal, but in one case that we know of, there was an indie promotion he was interested in, in a market AEW is going but hasn’t been and Tony Khan did ask him not to work in that market on a indie show until after the AEW show in that market because they wanted his first date in the market since WWE.

We’ll have to see where Bryan Danielson appears as the months go on. The world is still opening up as many are still recovering from the drastic affects that the pandemic left them to sort through. Perhaps Bryan Danielson will appear on more indie wrestling shows, but there was one that TK asked Danielson to skip.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
