Tonight’s SmackDown does not currently have any confirmed matches, but it has been teased that the episode will feature the Bloodline trying to remain in control of SmackDown after the new era following Universal Champion Roman Reigns being absent from last week’s SmackDown.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins with Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way to the ring with Paul Heyman and The Usos. Heyman hands Reigns the mic and Reigns says last week Reigns was not at SmackDown because he was celebrating his win over Brock Lesnar with a vacation. Reigns mentions how Lesnar got suspended indefinitely and Reigns takes credit for it. Reigns asks Heyman what else happened last week, Heyman says The Usos had a match with the New Day, Reigns asks who won the match and who lost. Heyman answers that the New Day won as the fans begin to chant for the New Day. Reigns says the New Day is entertaining, but they’re not better than the Bloodline. Reigns asks the Usos which one of them got pinned, and Reigns goes up to Jimmy Uso and Reigns asks Jimmy how he’s going to fix this problem. Jimmy says he’s going to make Woods acknowledge who the real king is.

The New Day come out to interrupt the Bloodline. Kingston formally introduces King Woods. Woods and Kingston mock Reigns being “the head of the table”. Woods says if Jimmy Uso can beat him tonight he will acknowledge Reigns, but if Woods defeats Jimmy he will be forced to “bend the knee”. Jey Uso responds and says the Bloodline bends the knee to nobody. Reigns takes the mic from Jey and says the Bloodline accepts the challenge.

Naomi vs Shayna Baszler

The match begins with Naomi hitting a Thesz press and series of punches. Naomi hits a drop kick. Naomi kicks Baszler outside the ring and Naomi hits a kick to the head and slams Baszler ribs first into the ring apron. Back in the ring Naomi hits a flying cross body and covers for two. Baszler rolls outside and catches Naomi to hit a gutwrench power bomb on the outside.

*Commercial break*

The match continues after the break with Naomi hitting a sunset flip into a pin attempt. Baszler kicks out at two and locks in the Kirafuda clutch. Naomi rolls through the hold into a pin for three. Immediately after the bell Sonya Deville comes out to ringside. Deville says that right before the pinfall, Naomi grabbed the rope, which should’ve resulted in a rope break and Deville has no choice but to restart the match. The bell rings and Baszler locks in the Kirafuda clutch from behind and Naomi passes out and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Shayna Baszler

Roman Reigns is backstage talking to the Usos, Reigns says he takes one week off and SmackDown was almost as bad as Raw is. Jimmy Uso laughs and Reigns confronts Jimmy asking if he thinks this is funny. Usos tells Reigns he won’t lose tonight.

New SmackDown superstar Ridge Holland is interviewed backstage. Holland says he is looking forward to meeting his idol Sheamus. Holland talks about watching all of Sheamus’ big moments back home.

Shotzi is interviewed backstage after a replay of her attacking Sasha Banks last week. Shotzi says she has finally had enough. Shotzi says she has lost the support of the WWE Universe and because of Sasha Banks she lost the biggest match of her career. Shotzi says that Banks is her new target and she will run over her or anyone else in her way.

Los Lotharios vs Cesaro & Mansoor

The match begins with Mansoor and Garza in the ring. The two lock up and Garza slams Mansoor to the mat. Mansoor hits a drop kick. Carrillo is tagged in and they hit a double drop kick to Mansoor. Carrillo covers for a two count. Garza is tagged in and hits a back body drop. Garza covers for two. Garza locks in a single leg Boston crab and Mansoor fights out and hits an enziguri. Mansoor hits a DDT and makes the tag to Cesaro and Carrillo is tagged in. Cesaro hits several uppercuts in the corner and follows up with a lariat. Cesaro hits a corkscrew uppercut off the middle rope. Garza runs in and Cesaro swings Garza around. Carrillo hits a super kick and tags in Garza. Garza makes the cover for the three count.

Winners: Los Lotharios

Drew McIntyre comes out to the ring as another open challenge is announced.

*Commercial break*

Back live with McIntyre in the ring ready for another open challenge. To answer the challenge, out comes Ricochet. Before the bell Ricochet comes out and slaps McIntyre right in the face.

Drew McIntyre vs Ricochet

The bell rings and McIntyre immediately slams Ricochet in the corner. McIntyre throws Ricochet across the ring. Ricochet pulls the top rope to send McIntyre over the top rope. Ricochet dives outside but is caught and slammed to the apron. McIntyre hits a big knife-edge chop. McIntyre dives off the top rope but Ricochet counters with a drop kick. Ricochet hits a cross body off the middle rope and McIntyre powers Ricochet up for a brain buster. Ricochet hits a super kick and goes for a moonsault off the top rope but McIntyre hits a Claymore to Ricochet in midair, McIntyre then covers for three.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

SmackDown returns with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss in the ring for the Happy Talk show with special guest the Viking Raiders. Erik says they’re not here to be their guests, and they’re here to raid Happy Talk. Corbin says he has just the thing to cheer them up. Moss cracks a joke and the Viking Raiders respond by destroying the set of the show as Moss and Corbin leave the ring.

Viking Raiders vs Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss

The match begins with Erik locking Corbin in a bear hug. Corbin breaks free and hits a big boot. Ivar and Moss are both tagged in. Ivar hits a shoulder tackle and Erik tags in and the Viking Raiders hit a double team body slam. Moss hits a spine buster and Corbin is tagged in. Corbin hits a lariat and covers and Ivar breaks the count at two. Corbin hits the deep six and covers for a two count. Moss is tagged in and Erik tags in Ivar. Ivar hits a side slam and a cross body. Erik is tagged in and Erik slams Iver right into Moss in the corner. Ivar is tagged in and Erik hits a power bomb. Before Ivar can hit the splash Corbin pulls Moss out of the ring and Corbin and Moss leave the ring as the ref counts them out.

Winners by Count out: Viking Raiders

Sami Zayn confronts Hit Row backstage. Zayn says that he is a locker room leader and Hit Row could be big stars. Zayn tells Hit Row that he will go out there and show them how to make a proper entrance.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns with Sami Zayn making an entrance, flailing around eccentrically. Zayn gets on the mic after flopping to the ground and says that is how it’s done and that’s how to be a superstar in his locker room. Zayn then introduces Hit Row. Hit Row make their way out and insult Zayn for trying to coach them. Top Dolla gets the crowd to chant “Sami sucks”. Zayn tries to leave but Swerve blocks his path. Hit Row eventually let Zayn get past and go to the back as Hit Row laughs.

King Woods vs Jimmy Uso

Our main event begins Woods rolling through a right hand for a one count. The two lock up and Jimmy backs Woods into the corner. Woods hits a side Russian leg sweep and follows with a basement drop kick. Jimmy hits a right hand and drags Woods’ face across the top rope. Jimmy goes for a cross body but Woods counters with a drop kick. Jimmy throws Woods outside the ring and to the floor.

*Commercial break*

The match returns live with Woods hitting a cross body. Jimmy hits an enziguri and hits a running splash in the corner. Woods hits a right hand and a super kick. Woods hits a running knee and Jimmy rolls to the outside. Woods hits a drop kick outside and throws Jimmy back in the ring. Woods goes up top and hits a flying leg drop and covers for a two count. Woods goes up top again but Jimmy runs up and hits a Samoan drop from the top rope. Jimmy covers but Woods kicks out at two. Jimmy goes for a roll up and Jey tries to help but the ref notices and stops the count. Off the distraction Woods gets a roll up for three.

Winner: King Woods

After the bell Woods puts on his crown and Jimmy goes to bend his knee but Reigns runs in to Superman punch Woods. The Bloodline takes Kingston. Woods tries to fight back but The Usos hit a double superkick. Reigns hits a spear to Kingston. The Bloodline stands tall over the New Day as SmackDown goes off the air.
