WWE has a couple of huge contracts in play for part-time Superstars who only show up for a couple big events a year. Most of the time they also get a trip to Saudi Arabia out of the deal. It would be really hard to pass up that kind of money, and Big E would take it in a heartbeat.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Big E opened up about part-timers in WWE. He would take that money for $5 million to wrestle a couple of matches a year. Anyone would be crazy to turn down a contract like that. Big E’s focus is going to be on those full-time Superstars who don’t take long vacations away from WWE between their few matches.

“I’m not here to demean anyone being a part-timer. If someone said, ‘I’ll give you $5 million to wrestle two times in a year,’ who is going to turn that down? I’m not one to judge anyone’s contract, but I do understand, the perception that we’re the ones, the guy’s on all the shows, we’re doing live events, media for three hours, and putting the work in. Many times, for less money. My focus, moving forward, is on the guys here on a nightly basis and in the locker room every week. Of course, I want to face the Keith Lees. Let’s get The Hurt Business back together. There are so many guys I want to focus on. I understand the backlash with people seeing older guys coming back, but I’m just asking for one night. One match. Then we’ll all move on.”

Big E was able to retain the WWE Title against Bobby Lashley in two matches during RAW this week. Then Drew McIntyre, another guy who doesn’t take vacations, showed up to issue a challenge. We’ll have to see who ends up with the title in that matchup, but the WWE Draft could always shake-up everything before it gets going.
