WWE brought Riddick Moss over to SmackDown one week prior to the 2021 WWE Draft. This was an interesting decision right before WWE switches up the rosters.

Fightful Select noted that Riddick Moss “got a look during a dark match in Knoxville” last week, and he was already on the SmackDown brand. He was drafted to RAW last year, but since he never appeared in the Draft last year they didn’t think it was a bad idea to “get the ball rolling” for him and Corbin.

Moss got a look during a dark match in Knoxville last week, and had already been assigned to the Smackdown brand by then, despite being drafted to Raw last year. When Fightful inquired why within WWE, it was told to us that because he never appeared after the draft last year, and there’s another next week, there was no harm in getting the ball rolling on Moss with Corbin.

Riddick Moss had Paul Heyman’s favor in a big way when he was Executive Director of RAW. Then Heyman was released from that role and Moss fell back down the roster. Heyman had big things in store for Moss, so we’ll have to see what materializes for him as Happy Corbin’s cohort.
