‘Crying CM Punk Fan’ Gets VIP Treatment From AEW

CM Punk’s return to pro wrestling hit everyone in a different way. Some fans jumped for joy when Cult of Personality rang out during the First Dance special at the United Center, but one fan in the crowd started crying. AEW also focused on that crying fan during a historic moment and a meme was born.

Punk spoke out about fans making fun of that crying fan. He said that if people mock that fan, then they’re mocking him as well. This was a subject that Punk felt passionately about, and he wanted to meet that fan.

It looks like AEW tracked that fan down and set him up with VIP access. He appeared with Punk in a photo and that fan was sporting an AEW All Access sticker on his shirt.

It’s great to know that AEW was able to find that fan, and it appears that they set him up to be a lifelong fan of All Elite Wrestling as well. You can check out the photo below of Punk and the fan who is no longer crying, because he was thrilled to meet the Second City Saint.
