Adam Cole’s Situation Is Full Of Miscommunication Within WWE

Adam Cole’s WWE contract ran out after he signed a very short extension. No long term contract was offered and he left the company. Now he is one of the hottest free agents in the pro wrestling world. His girlfriend, Dr. Britt Baker, even used Cole’s situation as hook to talk about her own contract extension. An email was reportedly sent out to inform staff that Adam Cole is no longer with the company, but that report is in question.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that he asked several people about Adam Cole’s status and nobody saw that reported email about his exit. That’s not to say an email wasn’t sent out, but it does say that WWE didn’t let everyone know about this situation.

“I know people who have not seen it, and I have actually asked a lot of people in the last couple of days who all, if there was a memo, should have seen it. That’s not to say there wasn’t a memo, but these are all people in WWE who should have seen it — like one person absolutely 100% has to–without saying who it is–and he has not been told Adam Cole is gone. This speaks more to miscommunication more than anything else.”

We’ll have to see what Adam Cole does next. He is not retiring from pro wrestling, so he will pop up somewhere. The big question is where the former NXT Champion will decide to fly his flag next.
