Tonight’s SmackDown comes to us live from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is set to feature a face to face confrontation between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and challenger John Cena before their much anticipated championship math at SummerSlam.

Tonight’s SmackDown is also set to have a contract signing between SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and challenger Sasha Banks for their WrestleMania championship rematch at SummerSlam.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown begins with John Cena cutting a promo on his SummerSlam opponent Roman Reigns. Cena admits himself that he knows that Reigns will “beat the hell out of him” Cena is interrupted by Reigns and Heyman who make their way out to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Reigns and Cena go back and fourth on the mic, Cena wins over the crowd and says that all Cena has to do is get a simple 1,2,3 that he has to hang in for. Cena says he will take the title and run away as fast as he can. Cena says that it is inevitable and that nobody can protect him anymore and that at SummerSlam, the champ is gone.

Intercontinental Championship

King Nakamura VS Apollo Crews

Our championship match begins with Crews hitting a kcik to the mid section and a quick suplex for a cover and a one count. Nakamura ducks a lariat and hits a drop kick to the face. Nakamura hits a series of corner stomps and a knee drop and get a two out of a cover. Off a distraction from Commander Azeez Crews hits a drop kick. Crews hits with an elbow strike and Nakamura hits with a running knee into the corner. Nakamura puts Crews on the top rope and Crews fights off a superplex to send Nakamura to the ground. Rick Boogs distracts Crews with his guitar and the referee ejects him. Commander Azeez tries to get in the ring with the ref’s back turned but the ref turns around and sees Azeez and Azeez gets ejected from ringside.

Our championship match returns live with Nakamura going for a cover that gets a two count. Nakamura goes to the top rope but Crews catches him with an enziguri. Crews goes up top and hits a superplex and Crews covers for two. Crews hits with a powerbomb and picks Nakamura up and hits a sit out powerbomb for a cover for two. Crews goes to the top rope and goes for a frog splash but Nakamura counters by bringing his knees up. Crews hits an enzigui and goes for a roll up but the referee sees Crews using the ropes and stops the count. Crews hits a release German suplex and covers for two. Nakamura reverses a slam and hits a kick to the head. Nakamura hits a back suplex and goes to the corner and hits the Kinshasa and covers for three and becomes the new Intercontinental Champion.

The Street Profits are interviewed backstage and Montez Ford says that his last encounter with Otis was one of the most painful experiences and that while he was out with his injury he focused on revenge on Otis. Angelo Dawkins says he hopes the Alpha Academy enjoyed their time because now that Ford is back, they are back and they want the smoke.

Street Profits VS Alpha Academy

The match begins with Gable and Ford in a lock up. The two reverse arm submissions before Gable hits with a back breaker and turns it into an armbar. Ford rolls out of the hold and hits an arm drag and Gable gets up and hits his own arm drag. Ford goes for an enziguri but Gable dodges and tags in Otis. Ford hits a few kicks put Otis shoves Ford back, Dawkins makes the tag but Otis still slams Ford to the mat. Dawkins gets in and hits an elbow in the corner but Otis manages to grab Otis and slam him and tag Gable back in. Gable and Otis trade tags and hit Dawkins in the corner before Otis stays in and hits a corner spear. Gable accidentally makes the tag to Otis and Gable protests the tag to the ref as Ford hits a dive over the top rope to Otis on the outside and Dawkins takes advantage of a distracted Gable to hit a slam and cover for three.

Seth Rollins is seen making demands to the production truck team as he yells that they know what he asked for.

SmackDown returns with Seth Rollins making his way out to the ring. Rollins gets on the mic and says that Tulsa has been on fire tonight. Rollins says that his sources tell him that Edge will not be here tonight. Rollins says that he would love nothing more than to put his fist in Edge’s face for all the lies Edge said about him last week. Rollins says that according to Edge, the fans have the next best thing and says Edge had the nerve to call him Edge Light. Rollins says it makes perfect sense, Edge is a hall of famer and he can’t stand the fact that Rollins’ career has been better than Edge’s. Rollins says he has video proof and tells production to run the footage. A video package is aired that details the career retrospective of Edge and shows similarities between the career of Edge and Rollins, while claiming the accomplishments and career of Rollins has been better at every step. Rollins says the video footage showed no lies. Rollins says he had a revelation as he watched the video, Rollins says that Edge should be thanking him, and that not just Edge, but all of the fans should be thanking him. Rollins says that if he stomped Edge back in 2014, this dream match at SummerSlam and all of Edge’s moments since his return would never have been able to happen. Rollins says Edge has pushed him too far and that Edge has compromised his future by getting in the way of Rollins and the Universal title. Rollins says that it’s not 2014 anymore and at SummerSlam, he will not hold back, and that he will stomp Edge’s head to the mat, and that if it puts Edge out for good, then so be it.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio are shown backstage and Rey says they can’t make any mistakes. Dominik appears confident and Rey says that they need to stay humble and ready for tonight.

Rey & Dominik Mysterio VS Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

The match begins with Roode and Rey in the ring. Roode hits a quick kick and Rey hits a head scissors, off a Ziggler distraction Ziggler hits a back breaker. Ziggler is tagged in and hits a corner splash to Rey and Roode holds Rey in place for a kick from Ziggler. Ziggler holds Rey down in a sleeper hold. Rey gets to his feet but Rey rakes the eyes and Roode is tagged in. Roode puts Rey on the top rope and makes the quick tag to Ziggler. Rey hits a senton off the top and tags in Dominik who hits a cross body and a neck breaker. Dominik counters a kick and rolls up Ziggler for two. Ziggler hits the famousser and covers for two. Dominik hits an enziguri and Ziggler falls to the ropes. The Usos appear on the titantron to distract Dominik. In the distraction Roode tags in and Rey shoves Dominik to avoid Roode’s attack. Dominik hits the surprise roll up on Roode for the three count.

Winners: Rey & Dominik Mysterio

Baron Corbin makes his way out to the ring again with no music or entrance video. It is announced that tonight is Corbin’s last plea before having to declare bankruptcy.

SmackDown returns with Corbin in the ring. Corbin says that he has been down on his luck lately. Corbin says if things don’t turn around quickly, he will have to file for bankruptcy. Corbin says that a problem in our society, when someone falls, everyone wants to keep them down. Corbin says that he will need every fan to contribute a minimum of $1,000. Corbin says he has a credit card scanner in his phone to make it easy for everyone. Kevin Owens makes his way out and Corbin says he knows Owens is out there for the right reasons. Owens says he is not here to help Corbin, he is there to tell Corbin that it needs to stop. Owens says he helped Corbin before but clearly Corbin does not want to fix his mistakes and be better for it. Owens says that Corbin is exploiting people’s sympathy for his own gain. Corbin says he is not leaving the arena until Owens gives him minimum of $1,000. Owens says he will give Corbin the money, but only if he beats Owens in a match right now. Corbin agrees, but Owens says there’s one more condition, if Owens wins, Corbin has to stop begging everyone for money, and Corbin agrees. Owens immediately hits Corbin with a stunner to knock Corbin to the ground.

Kevin Owens VS Baron Corbin

The match begins with Corbin faking a neck injury before trying a roll up that Owens kicks out of. Owens hits a chop to the chest and hits a lariat and senton combo to cover for two. Owens chops Corbin in he corner multiple times and hits a super kick and a cannon ball and covers for two. Owens goes up to the top rope and Corbin gets up and grabs Owens by the neck. Owens escapes and gets hit with a right hand to knock him to the outside. Owens gets back in the ring and Corbin knocks him down and hits a few punches. Corbin tries a suplex on the apron but Owens breaks free and tries a powerbomb but Corbin reverses to hit a back drop to cause Owens to land on the apron.

SmackDown returns with Owens going to the top rope before Corbin hits a punch and goes up top to try a superplex. Owens fights off Corbin to send him to the mat with a headbutt. Owens hits a swanton and covers for two. Owens is hit with a choke slam and Corbin covers for two. Corbin hits the deep six and Owens kicks out at two. Corbin tries two more covers that Owens kicks out of. Corbin catches a super kick and Owens kicks out of a roll up. Owens goes for the stunner but Corbin escapes. Owens gets a roll up and gets the three count.

SmackDown returns with Baron Corbin backstage. Corbin starts running and steals Big E’s Money in the Bank briefcase and runs away with it.

Sonya Deville is in the ring as the contract signing for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam is set. Deville introduces Sasha Banks who makes her way out to the ring. Deville then introduces champion Bianca Belair who comes out to the ring with the title around her waist. The two sit at the table for the signing. Belair asks if Banks is going to run away again or if she should turn her back so Banks can stab her in the back again. Belair says that she should’ve known Banks would stab her in the back. Banks says that Belir gave her a scar that kept her out for months. The two start screaming before Deville interrupts to try to maintain order. Banks says that before she signs, she needs witnesses. Carmella then makes her way out followed by Zelina Vega. Banks signs the contract with Vega and Carmella present. Belair signs and throws the contract and takes out Carmella and Vega before going after Banks. Belair fights off Vega and Carmella before Banks gets behind her to bring Belair down. Carmella and Vega beat down Belair together as banks holds up the title. Banks puts Belair on the table and slams Belair’s head off the table repeatedly. Banks holds the title up high and then puts Belair in the Bank Statement using Belair’s hair braid as SmackDown goes off the air.
