CM Punk walked out of WWE over six years ago, and it took him that long to make a return to pro wrestling. He found that home in AEW, and there will likely be plenty of chants for him during RAW tonight.

The company is rolling through the Chicago area and the All State Arena is 100% sold out for the show. Chicago fans are very passionate about pro wrestling and the Second City savior as well.

“CM Punk” chants are popular during WWE events as fans show displeasure toward what is transpiring in the ring. They have a completely different reason for chanting his name now, because CM Punk is on his way to the competition.

Chants for the Second City Savior rang out even before RAW went live this week. It’s likely that the three-hour show will include a few instances of “CM Punk chants,” because they started before the show even started.

CM Punk is also expected to make his debut in Chicago in just a few weeks as AEW brings a sold out show to the United Center. That could add even more buzz to CM Punk’s name in that area. WWE might have to used some ThunderDome tricks with the audio to drown out the chants. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates.
