Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world as he has competed all over the world in various promotions, including WWE. He has competed for over three decades and has worked with the best of the best in the pro wrestling world.

Chris Jericho squared off against Fandango at WrestleMania 29, despite him not necessarily wanting to do so. Ultimately, Chris Jericho helped put Fandango over in the match.

While speaking on the Such Good Shoot podcast, Fandango explained why Chris Jericho was reluctant to face him at WrestleMania 29. Fandango stated that Vince McMahon created his dancer gimmick after Jericho appeared on Dancing With The Stars and McMahon decided to make an outrageous gimmick out of it in the form of Fandango.

Chris did an amazing job at getting me over and I don’t blame him. It’s a ridiculous character. Look at it this way, guys, so Vince thought it was probably stupid that he went on Dancing with the Stars, right? Vince thought Bryan Danielson was crazy to be a vegan. So anything that Vince thinks is stupid, he’ll make a character out of it, right?

So he thought Chris going on Dancing with the Stars was stupid, so what is he gonna do? He’s gonna make an evil dancing gimmick because he thinks it’s outrageous.”

Fandango was released from the company back in June, after working there for 14 years. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for him.
