WWE and AEW are in the same marketplace, but they are also focused on putting on their own shows. You can’t ignore the competition, because it’s essential to always pay attention to their moves as well.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Ariya Daivari revealed that “everyone was talking” about AEW, but not just because it’s the competition. They love pro wrestling and want to keep up with everything going on.

“To me, AEW is doing pro wrestling, and that’s what the fans love. That’s what I love. That’s why I’ve really been liking it. They’ve been doing pro wrestling very, very well. (It was talked about in WWE) tons. Everybody was talking about it, and it’s not necessarily just because it’s AEW, but I feel like people who really care about the job, they usually keep up with everything that’s going on.

WWE might try to no-sell AEW, but they are certainly paying attention. It’s no wonder that they plan so many things to coincide with something that AEW seemingly booked a few weeks prior. This has happened a few times, and it might be a coincidence. It could also be a planned tactic, but WWE will never cop to it.

We’ll have to continue paying attention as WWE and AEW both continue doing their thing as the years progress. You also never know if we could see another head-to-head battle on television.
