Start time for SmackDown is 8:00 PM EST Match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.

Tonight will see the first SmackDown taking place with fans in attendance since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic began. Taking place in Houston, Texas, tonight’s SmackDown is set to debut a new set and feature several exciting matches.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns teams with Jimmy & Jey Uso to take on Edge and SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey & Dominik Mysterio in a six man tag team match.


Tonight will also see SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair defend her title against Carmella, who was named number one contender after Bayley’s injury last week.

Also scheduled for tonight is a Fatal 4 Way match with Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants Kevin Owens, Big E, King Nakamura and Seth Rollins.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.


SmackDown begins with a video of many WWE superstars sitting alone in an empty arena. Shots of many past WWE moments highlighting the crowd reactions is shown.

A shot of the crowd in attendance in Houston starts the show. Mr. McMahon makes his way out to the ring to a loud reaction from the crowd. McMahon addresses the crowd saying “Where the hell have you been?” and then leaves the arena immediately after.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way out to the ring with Paul Heyman by his side. As Reigns makes his way to the ring, Jimmy & Jey Uso join him in the ring. A match between The Usos and Rey & Dominik Mysterio for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships is announced for Money in the Bank on Sunday.

Roman Reigns & The Usos VS Edge & Rey & Dominik Mysterio

SmackDown’s opening match begins with Jey Uso with a surprise attack on Edge. Edge makes a quick tag to Dominik who makes another quick tag to Rey. Jey counters an arm drag with a forearm shot and Jimmy and Edge are tagged in. Edge works over the right arm of Jimmy as Rey is tagged in. Rey hits a senton and covers for a two count. Dominik hits a middle rope moonsault and covers for two. Dominik puts Jimmy in an armbar. Jimmy and Dominik exchange forearms as Jey Uso makes the blind tag. Jey gets Dominik down in the corner and Reigns tags in. Reigns drags Doninik to the outside, back inside Reigns hits a vertical suplex and covers for two. Dominik rolls to the outside and Reigns slams Dominik’s head off the announce table. Reings hits a power bomb to the announce table on Dominik.

Back live with Dominik hitting a DDT off the top rope to Jimmy Uso. Edge and Jey Uso are tagged in, Edge slams Jey off the ring post and edge hits a lariat to Reigns outside. Rey is tagged in and hits a senton and tornado DDT to Jey, a cover is broken up by Jimmy. Dominik dives outside and Reigns picks him up and slams Dominik to the ring post. Rey puts Jey on the ropes and Reigns catches Rey’s legs to prevent the 619. Reigns taunts the crowd on the outside and Edge hits him with a spear. Jimmy Uso hits Rey with a forearm allowing Jey to roll up Rey for the three count.

Winners: Roman Reigns & The Usos

After the bell The Usos attack the Mysterios before Edge runs in with a chair to attack The Usos but Reigns runs in to hit a Superman punch and stand tall in the ring with the Universal Championship in hand. Reigns walks towards the chair in the ring and picks it up. Reigns breaks off a steel bar from the chair but is hit with a spear from Edge. Edge grabs the steel bar to a huge reaction from the crowd and Edge puts Reigns in the familiar steel bar assisted submission hold which makes Reigns tap out. Edge gets up and picks up the Universal championship and holds it up standing over Reigns.

Back live with Edge and The Mysterios walking backstage. Edge is approached and interviewed. Edge says that he wishes he could say making Reigns tap out will make the match Sunday easier, but he knows he needs to beat Reigns at his own game and go to a place he never has. Edge is interrupted by Seth Rollins who laughs and says that Reigns has got Edge’s number. Rollins says that he will be Edge’s biggest fan on Sunday because he says he will win the Money in the Bank ladder match and finish what he started seven years ago, Rollins says he would love to cash in on the man who made the match famous. Rollins says good luck and laughs as he walks away.

Sami Zayn makes his way out, Zayn says that nobody has the courage to talk about himself being purposely excluded. Zayn says everyone wants to focus on the positive things, and that it is all a distraction from the conspiracy targeting him. Zayn says the for the first time ever, he has the fans, who have seen him be victimized. Zayn says that he needs everyone to stand up and let everyone know that the conspiracy will not be tolerated. Zayn tries to get a “justice for Sami” chant but when it fails says he isn’t surprised the “yee-haws” from Texas wouldn’t be on his side. Zayn says if there were any justice in the world he would be handed the Money in the Bank briefcase if there were justice. Finn Balor makes his surprise return as Zayn look on in shock. Zayn tries a surprise attack on Balor which Balor counters and drop kicks Zayn to the corner and hits the Coup De Grace as Balor celebrates in the ring in front of a cheering crowd.

Shotzi & Nox VS Natalya & Tamina

The march begins with Shotzi and Tamina. Tamina immediately hits a body slam and a running lariat to the corner. Natalya is tagged in and she hits a series of corner stomps to Shotzi. Shotzi hits a kick to the head and hits a leg drop the the mid section and covers for a two count. Natalya tags in Tamina and they hit a double team stomp to Shotzi. Shotzi hits a big boot and rolls through Natalya’s legs and Nox is tagged in. Nox hits a drop kick to Tamina on the apron. Nox hits a shining wizard and covers but the cover is broken up by Tamina. Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega get up from the commentary desk and brawl on the outside which causes Natalya and Tamina to be distracted . In the ring, Nox rolls Natalya up for the three count.

Winners: Shotzi & Nox

After the match Liv Morgan fights with Natalya, Morgan hits a face buster in the ring and points to the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging above the ring as she stands in the ring.

SmackDown Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair VS Carmella

Our championship match begins with Carmella shoving Belair to which Belair responds with a harder shove. Carmella slaps Belair and runs outside the ring. Belair chases her and back in the ring Belair hits a shoulder tackle. Carmella dedges a corner lariat and hits elbows to Belair in the corner. Carmella covers for a one count. Belair hits a spear into the corner and hits a forearm to the jaw of Carmella. Carmella drags Belair shoulder-first into the ring post and the match goes to the outside. Carmella slams Belair into the barricade and throws her back in the ring for a cover and a two count. Carmella throws Belair to the barricade again.

Back live with Belair throwing Carmella into the post and hitting a body slam. Belair hits a moonsault and covers for a two count. Belair drags Carmella to the corner and goes to the top rope but Carmella is able to knock her down from the ropes. Belair picks Carmella up the top top rope. Carmella hits a huricanrana and covers for a two count. Belair holds Belair up and Carmella counters with a roll up for a two count. Carmella locks in a guillotine submission and Belair begins to fade. Belair falls to one knee but is able to power up to her feet and break the hold to hit a vertical suplex and covers for a two count. Belair tries to whip Carmella with her on the hair braid but Carmella dodges and hits a super kick and Carmella covers for a two count. Belair whips Carmella with her hair and hits the Kiss of Death and covers for the three count,

Winner: Bianca Belair

Backstage with Chad Gable and Otis. Gable says he sees, hears and smells the fear from everyone when Otis walks backstage. Cesaro approaches them and Gable says he has earned Otis’ full attention and Otis shoves Cesaro over and Cesaro takes a hard fall to the ground.

Otis VS Cesaro

The match begins with a lock up and Otis backs Cesaro into the corner and Cesaro ducks under a lariat and hits an uppercut to Otis. Otis takes advantage of a Chad Gable distraction to slam Cesaro. Cesaro throws Otis into the ring post and Gable sneaks in the ring to hit a German suplex to Cesaro ending the match in a disqualification

Winner by Disqualification: Cesaro

After the match Cesaro counters Gable’s attack and starts to swing Gable but Otis runs in to break it up. Otis goes to the middle rope and hits a splash to Cesaro.

Paul Heyman is interviewed backstage and he says that this Sunday Edge will atone for his sins and have his sins beaten out of him by Roman Reigns. Heyman is interrupted by Big E. Big E says that he is the man who will win the Money in the bank ladder match. Big E says that Edge has a hold on Reigns and Big E leaves as Heyman look on in disgust.

Baron Corbin makes his way to the ring again with no entrance music. and Michael Cole on commentary says that Corbin has a special request.

Back live with Baron Corbin in the ring. Corbin says that it’s no secret that these last few weeks have been the most difficult of his life. Corbin goes over all of the things he has lost. Corbin says that if things continue that he will have to move in with his wife’s parents. Corbin says that everyone can help him out of these times and says that he has started a crowd funding website. Corbin says that he is asking for $100,000 to pay some of his bills and get back on his feet. Corbin gets on his knees and says he is begging everyone for help. Kevin Owens comes out as Corbin is still on his knees. Owens gets in the ring. Corbin says that he wants to believe Owens is out here because he wants to help Corbin. Corbin says that if Owens helps him, the people will fall in line. Corbin says Owens has a heart and sympathizes with him and says that Owens doesn’t send money on his wardrobe and Owens hits a stunner on Corbin.

Kevin Owens VS Big E VS King Nakamura VS Seth Rollins

Our Fatal 4 Way main event begins with Rollins exiting the ring to the apron where Big E hits a spear and Owens hits a dive to the outside and Nakamura hits a knee strike from the apron.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns with Big E hitting a lariat to Owens. Owens goes to the top rope but Big E hits a series of strikes and goes to the top. Nakamura joins him and they hit a double superplex. Owens goes for a top rope splash but Owens rolls out of the way. Nakamura hits a running knee to the mid section of Rollins. Big E hits the big ending to Nakamura and Rollins breaks up the cover. Rollins goes outside and grabs a ladder. Rollins hits Nakamura with a ladder and goes to the outside. Rollins clears off the announce table and puts Nakamura on it. Rollins climbs a ladder but Owens pulls him off and Owens climbs the ladder and hits an elbow drop from the top of the ladder through the announce table to Nakamura. Rollins hits a stomp on a ladder to Big E, Rollins covers and gets the three count.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match, Rollins sets up the ladder and climbs it to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase.
