Kyle O’Reilly Was Sick Of The Undisputed Era’s Underhanded Tactics Long Before Breakup

The Undisputed Era made their debut in NXT back in 2017 and since then they cemented themselves as one of the most dominant factions in the history of the pro wrestling business.

Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong formed the faction that defined the past few years in NXT. Unfortunately, the faction would break up earlier in the year after Adam Cole betrayed the group.

While speaking with ViBe & Wrestling, Kyle O’Reilly talked about the Undisputed Era splitting up. Kyle O’Reilly admitted that he was sick of the group’s underhanded tactics long before the group broke up.

“When Adam Cole kicked me in the face, I realized, but before that, I felt maybe rumblings because I was in a weird place in the summer before that, maybe six months out Adam kicking my teeth down my throat. I was in a weird spot because I thought I was growing as a performer because I was sick of the tactics of The Undisputed Era. There were a lot of underhanded tactics that we used to great success, and we saw a lot of championship gold, but we were attacking guys in the parking lot; we were clobbering them in the knees with weapons, so to speak. But I wanted to be a more honorable fighter.

I wanted to treat my opponents with respect and play by the rules because that is the only way to prove that you are the best, and now I’m on this quest to just straight up, take on those new challengers, and no more underhanded tactics. I felt I was beyond that, and I think Adam sensed that he made the decision.”

Since the breakup, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly have been enhanced in a bitter feud which will reach the next level as they are set to face off against each other on NXT Great American Bash on July 6th. We will have to see who will come out on top in the match.
