AEW has a lot of plans for the future, and AEW Rampage is set to debut on Friday, August 13th. Mark Henry was already revealed to be a big part of that show as an analyst, but the company has much more in store for that new hour-long show.

During the media scrum after Double or Nothing, Tony Khan addressed some questions about Rampage. He didn’t reveal Mark Henry’s exact position, but he promised that the World’s Strongest Man will be a “big part of the show.”

Then Khan revealed that they have a big announcement in terms of who will be on the commentary team. He said they are using someone from their own company, and one of their top stars.

“I’m not necessarily gonna say (Henry’s) going to be the play-by-play or color analyst, but he’s going to be a big part of the show. I have a big announcement. I don’t want to sound like it’s going to be an outside person. It’s somebody who’s one of our top stars that will be on commentary on the show. He’s a great commentator, and a great wrestler, that might narrow it down, but I’m going to put him on commentary.”

A lot of fans will naturally think about Chris Jericho for that role on Rampage, and it makes sense as well. Jericho has already expressed a desire to join the AEW commentary team when his in-ring career comes to an end. He also already has a lot of experience as he sat on the commentary table many times over the past year.

We’ll have to see who AEW picks for the Rampage commentary team, but fans will likely be excited by the news.

Who do you think will be the commentator on AEW Rampage? Sound off in the comments!
