Tamina Snuka and Natalya had a career-defining moment during SmackDown this week. They pulled down the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, a journey they’ve been on since before WrestleMania. It was a very emotional moment all around.
We already covered how Tamina broke into tears when they installed her new name plate on the side of her title. This was a big moment for her as she can finally say she is a champion in WWE.
The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson, who is training at the WWE Performance Center, tweeted out to reveal that Tamina briefly FaceTimed her after that big moment to share the experience.
she quickly facetimed me after this & held up the title with her name on the side & i’ve never seen such a pure & excited expression on her face :’)
We’ll have to see what’s in Simone Johnson’s future. She has very large shoes to fill, but she obviously has a ton of support as well. Tamina Snuka is also providing a shining example of what a WWE Superstar should be.
Natalya and Tamina Snuka received this big push after the live crowd responded to them as they did at WrestleMania. The future is up in the air, but they will continue on as champions now.
