WWE debuted new music for Roman Reigns this week on Friday Night SmackDown. This was a big surprise to see him come out to new music after using The Shield’s theme song for the past seven years.

Reigns spoke in the past about new entrance music and he promised that it was on the way. Music takes a bit more time to get together and fans finally heard what they were working on this week.

According to Fightful Select, WWE started on Reigns’ new music shortly after his return at Summerslam. They worked on the theme song for at least six months.

WWE has been trying hard to get rid of any Jim Johnston and CFO$ track. This is why so many Superstars receive new music now. It’s unknown if Roman Reigns’ new song had to go back for more edits throughout the process, but sometimes a song will get sent back for more work during production. It was noted that Big E’s new entrance music by Wale needed to get sent back for more work along the way.
