Mustafa Ali is no longer the leader of Retribution after those members made it clear that he is not in control of them. He’s been working through an injury for a few months now, so that might explain things.

During the recent Wrestling Inc Daily, it was revealed that Mustafa Ali has been working with a PCL injury since December 28th, 2020 in a winning effort against Ricochet.

“The day after the Royal Rumble, Ali underwent an MRI and was told that the injury would require surgery and rehab. From what we are told, it was around this time that Ali began to regularly berate the other members of Retribution rather than undergoing surgery.”

It’s unclear if Mustafa Ali will get any time off after Retribution apparently kicked him to the curb during the Fastlane kickoff show. We will have to see what’s next for him as Ali enters yet another chapter in his WWE career.
