WWE NXT Reportedly Preparing For Two Surprising Heel Turns

A WWE Superstar can sometimes go through different stages in their push with the company. Sometimes it is very beneficial to jump from the heel side to the babyface one. Other times it doesn’t make much sense at all.

WWE kicked off the 2021 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this week. Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter picked up a big win over Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez. That was apparently the beginning of a much different time for those two.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that he was told that win for Catanzaro and Carter was actually the start of a heel turn. It is hard to believe, and he hopes that someone will come to their senses within NXT before it is too late.

I was told last night after Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter got their upset in the Dusty Classic and Kacy did this full twisting back senton to win, which I believe was the only second time in her NXT career that she pinned somebody. Second time, that’s the key to this story.”

“Then they went back and they celebrated and talked about how they are going to win the Dusty Classic and they were all confident. I was told that was supposed to be the beginning of a heel turn for Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. I can’t believe it. I cannot believe this, so I am praying that if this is true then some time in the next week cooler heads prevail and they make this right.”

It was noted that Kacy Catanzaro is a guaranteed babyface. Her look and appeal do draw a lot of positive responses. It looks like WWE is gearing them up for a turn to the dark side.

We will have to see what happens next in this situation, but Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter might not be smiling babyfaces for long.
