WWE fans were eagerly awaiting the return of Seth Rollins on SmackDown this week. Then the company didn’t include the Messiah in their rundown for this week’s blue brand show. What happened?

Ringside News asked around about this situation. WWE on FOX’s Twitter account tweeted out graphic for Seth Rollins’ return. Then they deleted it some time later. This was all an instance of miscommunication.

We were told that “WWE on FOX went with information that was ‘possible’ instead of information that was ‘final.'” Unsurprisingly, we were also told that this kind of thing “happens more than you think.”

Seth Rollins could show up as early as next week, but it’s not guaranteed. One would think that Rollins’ return could be saved for a bigger moment. It also stands to reason why WWE would promote it in advance.

Seth Rollins’ return announcement for the New Year’s Day episode of SmackDown was not official, and it was corrected by deleting the tweet as soon as they realized the error.
