WWE is always looking for a star they can sign who already has notoriety to their name. The “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith’s son fits that criteria in a big way. It’s been a while since Smith Jr was in WWE, but his return could be coming soon.

Davey Boy Smith Jr and Court Bauer’s relationship is said to be “fine” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. His MLW deal expires on December 18th. That won’t stop pretty much every other pro wrestling company in North America from wanting to sign him.

He was at Chris Jericho’s Halloween party this past week and spoke to Tony Khan but they aren’t talking any business until after his MLW deal is up. He’s had interest from WWE, Khan expressed interest, and there is interest from All Japan, Impact and MLW and has no favorite or leaning past saying this decision will be made based on offer and whatever makes the most sense business-wise.

Smith was set to start with All Japan at the Champion Carnival tournament, but the pandemic cancelled that plan. We’ll have to see where he ends up next, but fans might know before the end of the year.
