WWE released several Superstars on April 15th. Fans are still waiting until mid-July when those Superstars’ no-compete clauses run out. Erick Rowan was among those releases, but Brodie Lee sees big things for him.

While speaking to SE Scoops, The Exalted One discussed his old Wyatt Family and Bludgeon Brother partner Rowan. The two got very close over the past 8 years and Lee commented on how Erick Rowan’s menacing appearance doesn’t change how good of a father he is.

“I think Erick’s a wonderful human being, he’s a wonderful father, which is strange to say if you look at him,” he said jokingly. “We weren’t always the best of friends early on in our tenure together but we became really good friends by the end. Somehow we always seem to find each other, at least for the last 8 years.”

Brodie Lee admitted to being relieved when WWE finally released him. He said it was like having a weight lifted off his shoulders. When speaking about where Erik Redbeard will land next, Brodie Lee did not suggest AEW. Instead, he stated that Redbeard is tailor-made for Japan.

“I think Erick Rowan is almost tailor-made for a Japan run. I don’t know if we’ll ever find each other over there because that would be pretty cool. Or if we’ll find each other in AEW, who knows? I think there’s going to be a lot of opportunity for these guys.”

Erick Redbeard might find himself in the Dark Order eventually, but he has his own career path. All Elite Wrestling might not be signing too many more stars either.

Stranger things have happened in pro wrestling. The tandem might not be called Harper and Rowan, but you never know if Lee and Redbeard could meet again down the road.
