The pro wrestling world has a few stars that could pick which company that they want to work for. Jeff Cobb seems to be in a very good position right now.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cobb’s “priorities have always been New Japan.” Ring Of Honor was just the first to offer him a contract with “real money.”

He did have some issues with his Lucha Underground contract. That El Rey Network show tried to keep several stars locked down for a long time and Cobb was one of them.

It is interesting that Jeff Cobb also seems to be an exception as ROH is willing to work around his wishes.

Even though New Japan talent hasn’t worked ROH, while continuing to work RevPro, the sides have worked together as far as New Japan getting dates on Cobb.

It was noted that Marty Scurll couldn’t work the Super J Cup because it conflicted with ROH dates. Jeff Cobb seems to be getting some great treatment from ROH in the meantime which could go to help him make a decision to stay when that time comes.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
