WWE NXT ended 2019 with a bang. Now we have a new NXT Women’s Champion.

Shayna Baszler slapped on the Kirifuda Clutch and Rhea Ripley was nearly out. Then when the referee raised her hand, she brought it down to grab his shirt and fight on.

Ripley rallied and locked on the Prism followed by an Avalanche Ripride for the win.

This marks Rhea Ripley’s first time as NXT Women’s Champion, but it is her second title reign in WWE as she is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion as well.
