Xavier Woods is out of action and he might not be wrestling for a long time. He can still talk which is helpful for The New Day: Feel The Power, The New Day’s podcast.

During a recent episode, Woods explained how he was injured in Australia. He didn’t hurt himself off any daring move. He simply landed a back-flip and felt something in the back of his foot.

Woods described it like “somebody had kicked me in the back of the foot.” He soon realized that it was his Achilles because when he went to take another step he couldn’t push off of that foot.

He flew from Sydney, Australia to Atlanta, Georgia the next day. Then he had to go to Birmingham, Alabama for surgery. That couldn’t have been a fun flight for Woods.

Once he got to Birmingham, his doctor told him that Woods tore his Achilles in an instant and it will take him fourteen minutes to fix it. Then Woods might be out of the ring for a year.

You can check out the video below to see Xavier Woods discuss this injury and his entire experience. He’s going through a lot right now, but Woods seems to be in good spirits.
