Daniel Cormier has not entered the WWE Universe yet, but it seems like he is on the cusp. He had an offer from Fox, but it couldn’t happen.

While speaking to BT Sport, Cormier revealed that he had an offer to appear on WWE Backstage. He didn’t specify which role he was offered, but this couldn’t happen due to UFC’s arrangement with ESPN.

“I got an offer to work that new show, WWE Backstage on [FS1]. Obviously, it didn’t work with the new relationship with [UFC and] ESPN. But we are constantly trying to get me involved in the product. As a big time fan of the WWE, nothing makes me happier. I’ve got some great opportunities, man. I’m lucky. I’ve got some things outside of the octagon that’s gonna carry me for a long time.”

Daniel Cormier could still arrive in WWE eventually. Obviously, WWE Backstage couldn’t be a possibility right now. You can never say never in the world of pro wrestling. Since his friend Cain Velasquez is now with WWE that seems to make things even more likely.
