Kenny Omega Reveals Barbed Wire Secrets From AEW Full Gear

Jon Moxley defeated Kenny Omega in a lights out match at Full Gear. That might go down as one of the most brutal matches in AEW history and thy’re just getting started.

While speaking to Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny Omega revealed some secrets to the barbed wire they used at Full Gear. There were no secrets and everything was apparently legit.

“A lot of people had suggested to cut the barbs or shave them down, or whatever, but then after speaking to a couple of death match dudes they say, ‘No you leave them because it’s better to be pierced by them than be scratched by them.’ Because those are the ones that leave the actual scars. So they were just tiny little holes that healed really easily. I mean right now it looks like I have a bad case of backne and that’s it.”

Kenny Omega is healing up nicely, but he said the barb wire piercings are still itchy and bothering him, especially when he gets soap in the wounds.

He said the worst part by far was taking a bump on the planks after the ring mat was taken off. Of course, if he would have asked Santana and Ortiz they would have been able to tell him after their brutal Concrete Jungle match in Impact Wrestling against the OGz.
