NXT is going to get a much bigger spotlight starting on September 18th. This might be a huge reason why some Superstars in NXT have no desire to make a jump to the “main roster.”

While speaking to the Sporting News, Mojo Rawley revealed that he knows for a fact that there are NXT Superstars who want nothing to do with a main roster call-up. Of course, the decision isn’t really up to them.

“They are as unique as it comes and that’s why they’ve been upgraded to this platform. Then, NXT was essentially a stepping stone, an opportunity to showcase what you’ve got with the only goal to get to the main roster.”

“Now, there’s guys on NXT that have no desire to move to ‘RAW’ or ‘SmackDown’ because a lot of people don’t consider moving to ‘RAW’ or ‘SmackDown’ a vertical move anymore. A lot of people now consider it a horizontal move.”

The WWE main roster does offer a lot of opportunities to see the world and make a lot of money. With NXT’s move to the USA Network they are now providing their developmental Superstars with a lot of exposure as well.

It seems like some NXT Superstars are now considering themselves as a third brand equal to RAW and SmackDown. This apparently means they are quite comfortable in NXT for now.
