WWE is in a very unique situation because anyone they let go could go and benefit their competition in a huge way. This has brought on a era in the company where they aren’t releasing people like they once did.

Brad Shepard reports that WWE has no rule in place where they won’t fire Superstars. They can still release them, but at this point they have to be very selective and smart about who they let go.

A source in #WWE also clarified a rumor from an obscure dirtsheet about a “no fire rule” in the company. The source said there isn’t an official “no fire rule,” they’re simply playing it strategic for now. They noted some people will be let go within the next six months or so.

It appears that the company is planning on releasing some Superstars, but not anytime soon.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
