KENTA made his big NJPW surprise debut at Dominion and announced that he will be taking part in the G1 Climax Tournament. This is a very exciting thing as fans who might only know him as Hideo Itami will get to see what KENTA can do.

When asked why he decided to sign with NJPW, KENTA replied that he wants to not only be a part of NJPW as they continue to go worldwide, but he also wants to step out of the Hideo Itami name and show what KENTA can do once again.

“Now New Japan goes worldwide. I want to show my wrestling to the world as KENTA, not Hideo Itami. I want to show my wrestling to the world and New Japan goes worldwide, US, UK, everybody knows New Japan. So, I decided New Japan.”

Fans only got a taste of what KENTA can do while he was in WWE. Not only was he dealt one turn of bad luck after another when it came to injuries, but his style was greatly limited as well.

Now he will be able to spread his wings and really go all-out in NJPW with the G1 Climax being an excellent place to start.
